Angelika Burroughs, a former ballerina from Kiev, Ukraine, started her teaching career after migrating to Australia in 1994.

Not long after her arrival to Australia she began teaching Ballet and Character Dance at the University Of Adelaide Department Of Dance and progressed to open her own Russian School of Ballet. Angelika was also in charge of teaching the Australia Ukrainian Ensemble “Kashtan” and appeared as guest teacher/choreographer throughout Adelaide’s local performing art schools.

She was then offered a position as a Principal Ballet Teacher at the New Zealand Ballet Academy & Recreational Dance Foundation based on the Russian Vaganova’s Method of Ballet.

Whilst working at the Academy as well as coaching the New Zealand National Rhythmic Gymnastic team, Angelika organised a Russian Ensemble “Matreshka” which performed during major Auckland art events.

Her return to Australia introduced Angelika to coaching the Elite National Rhythmic Gymnastics Team at the NSW Institute of Sport. After completing a Postgraduate Degree in Business Management and Administration, she decided to pursue her business career and take a break from teaching. A doorway opened as an Operations Executive at Professional High Grade Skincare “Mayerling”; and then as Aesthetic Director at the Centre of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery & Macquarie Day Surgery Clinic.

To fulfil her long time interest in nutrition and healthy lifestyle, Angelika joined Institute of Integrative Nutrition and graduates as a Certified Integrated Health Coach.

Craving a sea change and a new lifestyle, Angelika and her family moved to Noosa on the Sunshine Coast where she is now teaching at a number of quality dance schools across the region.
